I am going to re-do KR 16.
There will be the rulebook, the background book, the scenario book and then two handbooks.
The RDF handbook and the Junker Insurgent handbook.
I am wondering what style of image people prefer for illustrations of rules.
Do you prefer the infantry models on a white background when illustrating mechanics, or do you prefer them on a table top background.
White may be easier to follow, but on a table top may look cooler?
So long as it’s a clear picture, the tabletop’s probably better… any rules changes??
I ALWAYS enjoy your KR16 vignettes, so I say go with those. They are eye-grabbing and flavourful.
We get slapped around, but we have a good time!
any rules changes??
Not that I can think of.
Just clearing up some points and making the layout a bit prettier.
All troop specific rules will be in the handbooks.
Things like proximity mines, the RDF resonator, cavalry rules, insurgent rules, etc.
I will be adding into the main rules the campaign system and a few other odds and sods.
Just about making a bit neater, more pretty and so on.
The game and world has come on a fair bit since it first came out over 2 years ago.
Definitely prefer the little tabletop vignettes. Your buildings and terrain are the biggest selling point of the system – they show how visually appealing the scale can really be.
Coverwise, I like options 1 and 2. At some point, we should talk about illustrations, you and me.
