Another (calendar) year is soon to end, and assessments are the norm.
I’d like to take this time to publicly commend the TWW staff, et al for creating/maintaining/monitoring this corner of cyberspace for the benefit of the (ofttimes) unruly gaming community.
Raise a (cyber) glass with me to acknowledge and praise the efforts of those who make this display of pixels possible!
18/12/2016 at 15:00 #54114Rod RobertsonParticipantI second Glen’s sentiment and congratulations. Bravo, TWW!
Cheers and good gaming.
Rod Robertson.

Well done Mike and all members for an other excellent year of posts, seasonal greetings to one and all.

18/12/2016 at 18:59 #54134RuarighParticipantI enjoy dropping in here. It’s friendlier than other sites I have used in the past. Thanks, TWW.
Never argue with an idiot. They'll only drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
18/12/2016 at 19:26 #54135Thaddeus BlanchetteParticipantTWW: the joys of consistent and logical moderation! 🙂
We get slapped around, but we have a good time!
20/12/2016 at 01:32 #54178Kaptain KoboldParticipantThanks to all involved for creating such a fine arena for civilised discourse. And here’s to this forum increasing in size, quality and activity in 2017.

We’d survive without them: we certainly used to before they existed.
But they add much to our hobby:
information & stimulating discussion
links to historical & hobby sites
inspiration to improve our painting & explore new areas
and definitely not least, a sense of camaraderie & community

20/12/2016 at 09:16 #54186MikeKeymasterThank you very much for the kind words.
I like to think it is the people that make TWW what it is, certainly not me.
A combination of manners, love of the hobby, interesting posts and staying on topic, all help to make TWW what it is.Thank you for your continued support (feel free to upgrade to a sponsoring account if you want to be super kind, feel free not to too.)
20/12/2016 at 15:57 #54206BanditParticipantIt has been a good year at TWW, I can say that I enjoy the quality of discussions here and their depth more than those I find elsewhere. While posting is less prolific than in other places <cough> Facebook <sigh>, the threads are more focused, less fly-by-night, less politically charged, and overall healthier.
There are a lot of places to find forums on the internet, but there are very few that offer general discussion forums where discussion actually takes place on a wide variety of subjects, and fewer yet that aren’t full of rhetoric and ill will, not because other places are bad, but because it is a hard thing to create.
You’ve made a nice place here Mike. I think we’re all better off that it exists.
Cheers,
The Bandit
