For those that have been following my Stalingrad project, I finally finished the Russian defenders with the inclusion of some anti-tank guns, more pictures on my blog:

You gotta love the M 1942 Gun. It’s a beauty and you have done it proud. Great work Abwehrschlact! I hope you track down some limbers and horses. Have you looked at WWI miniatures as a possible source for what your looking for? Blue Moon and Irregular Miniatures might have something suitable.

    Cheers and good gaming.

Thanks Rod, I actually needed a Zis-3 for the lists, so this is the wrong bloody gun! I have a spare Zis from PSC which I will be using in place of this one in the future. I looked at a few horse drawn limbers, then remembered that I actually have a load of QC ones for y Russians. I am thinking of a quick repaint and that solves my issue…

    Abwehrschlacht:

This looks like a ZIS-3 Crash-boom to me. The ZIS-3 and the M 1942 are the same gun are they not. I have always used the designations interchangeably. I hope I haven’t confused the issue.

    Cheers and good gaming.

No, this one is a M1939 field gun, I bought it with the mistaken belief it was a Zis-3. The Zis-3 had tubular legs, not square ones and the shield is rectangular, unlike this one!

PS, are you Rod from Highlander Studios?

    Abwehrschlacht:

No, I am simply Rod Robertson, wargamer and model-builder from Canada. I am descended from highlanders and have basket-hilt swords and targs on the walls along with the rampant lion standard, but there is no studio here.  Sorry to disappoint (See I apologize just like a Canadian).

    Cheers and good gaming.

LOL, I am sorry for my mistake, I am trying to track Rod of Highlander Studios down and put two and two together and ended up with eight. A simple mistake, from a simple man…
