For people in the know, does this look suitable for macro work, in particular the photographing of minis for my site?
The stands and lights looks nice and should give a lot of flexibility, I never had a problem with the built in lights on mine though. A clamp mount with long flexible arm might be better for high angle shots.
I use a smaller version of this, this should be the same size as the one you linked.
You got me browsing amazon, I’ve managed to stay off it for a month 🙁
I have one that is very similar to the one you link to, AB. It works well enough, although I sometimes find the lights not quite strong enough, so a white background shows up light grey. Photoshop sorts that out though. I think I paid about £20 for mine on eBay, so I can’t complain.
Never argue with an idiot. They'll only drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
I have one I no longer require. Switch to PM or e-mail to discuss.

Visited Photography Show yesterday and picked up a foldio portable studio for £20. Built in LED lighting, backdrops. Excellent.
<p style=”text-align: left;”>In the process of writing a blog post http://www.keepyourpowderdry.co.uk/2019/03/photography.html?m=1 on photographing miniatures I discovered an older version of my portable studio for £10.99 on Amazon.</p>
