    Well you’re back in Caldoom

Just looking after the interests of the sect

A simple solo scenario. You can either eliminate the members of The Order of Malthus in his Aspect as the Personification of Self-Restraint, or, if you decide to play the Order, you can drive off the criminal scum who are attacking you.

He keeps producing terrain, so I keep producing scenarios 🙂

And why not…? It’s a great project and each scenario gives it another layer of depth. Keep up the good work.

I might have to catch up with other stuff soon. I have this idea of taking Hell and Uncivil Disorder back to cover various Asian Wars (India and China) in the 18th and 19th centuries, and it’s been pointed out that if I do that, going even further back will be a doddle 🙂

Milo, Clodius and the Gracchi brothers come to mind.

I did once dabble with the idea of a game set in Ancient Egypt with a rioting mob versus Nubian “police” complete with a dog baboon handler section and some Army snatch squads. Alas, like so many of my plans it foundered on the cost and painting time required.

That has to be done 🙂
In 15mm it should be a doddle 😉

    I have to see this!

The problem will be the lack of 15mm baboons – which my Biblical types have been desperately seeking for yonks! (See 1 Kings 10:22)

    Unless anybody knows better…

Irregular Miniatures have https://irregularminiatures.co.uk/15mmRanges/15mmAnimals.htm  Large Primate on tree trunk.

Then Magister Militum have these https://www.magistermilitum.com/ftw106-armed-apes.html

I came across a discussion here ” Topic: 15-20mm baboons – or suitable surrogates?”

One suggestion was to start with a guard dog because it has a better head for a baboon, and then just add green stuff to taste 🙂

I was thinking more along the lines of these

These might do as rioters with less military weaponry and shields removed, where possible.

What I’m after are the chaps with the leashed baboons in 15mm, or the baboons on their own, ‘though looking at them, any of them in 15mm would be useful. I’m trying really hard to not start a new to-be-unfinished project, and maybe even finish something I’ve started; in my head I’ve shifted your idea to the Hebrews in their Egyptian slavery and the early days of Moses’ resistance.(Gangs of Pithom?). If it were 15mm I could use much of what I already have.

In 28mm I am tempted to use zoo animal leopards or cheetahs with my 28mm Egyptians to use them in Dragon Rampant 🙂

They are Wargames Foundry, Jim. I love Foundry’s figures but find their website impossible to navigate. I use Duckduckgo to find things on the site sooner than try to use the website menus.

They have some really lovely 28mm Ancients stuff that I might buy …. just as soon as I finish my 1/1200 scale Roman galley fleet … and my 2mm Strength and Honour stuff …. and my 6mm Sumerians and their enemies …. and my Homo Heidelbergensis (or should that be Homo Bodoensis?) tribe and their Neanderthal, Cro-Magnon and Homo Floresiensis opponents together with a menagerie of beasties ….  my 3mm WW2 NWE collection …. my 6mm Napoleonics …. my 3mm Sengoku Jidai collection … my 28mm Western Gunfighters ….. my 20mm sci-fi stuff …. my six upainted Warmaster armies …. my three 10mm Russian Front armies  etc. etc. etc. 🙂

Look on the bright side, legend insists a wargamer will live until they’ve painted their lead mountain 🙂

Look on the bright side. You’ll be able to solve arguments about ancient wargaming with the words ‘I was there you know’ 🙂

Difficult to imagine The Falklands/Las Malvinas conflict, Operation Desert Storm and the Russian ‘Special Operation’ in Ukraine as ‘Ancients’, but in 769 years’ time…

In 2790 it’ll all be Late Medieval, or perhaps Late Horse and Musket 🙂

After all, back in 1253 the Mongols and the Sung were still fighting over China
