Is there much difference in the physical appearance of the different variants of the M1 Abrams?
I am thinking of getting a Khurasan M1A2, but want to use it as an M1A1 if needed.
At 15mm and the fact I want be playing against rivet counters, I can’t see it being a problem.
Not a tanker but I believe that the A2 has reactive armor where the A1 did not, all the other updates are in the control systems.
I don’t think the Khurasan M1 has reactive armour on it:
I did find this, and it appears that part of the turret is different, mainly the CITV:
If you are not playing against rivet counters then yes you could use it. If you are playing with rivet counters then look at QRF’s M1 A1. As for me I use what I have and call it good enough.
Yep, the main difference is that the M1A2 has the CITV (cylindrical box on the top of the turret, right hand side). No reactive armour.
We produce both the M1A1 and M1A2 (and 105mm M1, and IPM1)…

Thanks Geoff – I might buy my tanks and vehicles from QRF, as a single tank will cost me $16.51AUD from you, and the same from Khurasan $23.85AUD – these prices include postage.
Well that is a difference and the QRF kit is cheaper. I know I would buy the QRF M1A1.
