ParticipantMansions of Madness has been available in it’s second edition for a while now and having played it quite a lot recently I have written a review for those who may not know the game. It’s like an RPG-Lite crossed with a board game and has tons of atmosphere for those that like Cthulhu themed games. Have a read of the review here:

ParticipantCheers, it is a little pricey, but well worth it. A really nice board game.

ParticipantHi. I have the first edition, which is fun but the second edition does sound a lot better.
However, would you say it’s worth the price considering I already have the first edition?

ParticipantHi there, as far as I know the first ed is a two player game, where this can be played solo or as a team and I think the computer controlled GM will really make it feel like a different game. I’ve never played 1st Edition, but 2nd Edition is great fun, it also comes with a 1st edition conversion kit (I’m not sure what this does though…)

ParticipantGreat review, thanks! Been thinking about picking this up to play with the wife and maybe kids (if I can tear them away from snapchat…) and this may have sold me. Recently purchased Arkham Horror card game, so that video helps as well!

ParticipantCheers DSG, it’s a really good game. The price tag is pretty high, but the production levels are worth every penny. I like the computer driven GM as well, it took a little while to get used to, but on the second game it was second nature. Don’t expect to win though…
The AH card game is excellent and one of my favourites. I play it solo a lot and have not had a bad experience with it yet.

ParticipantGreat review. I have so many expensive board games by shelves are groaning under the strain of kickstarter exclusives. I’ve actually played this game and enjoyed it thoroughly!

ParticipantCheers OldBen, it’s funny to see that this review has taken off again after almost a year! Yes, I also have tons of boardgames, but they are so lovely!
