Ok, thanks to Noel’s exellent Judge Dredd/near future thread over in the general scifi forum I now have yet an other 6mm project.
This thread will chronicle my efforts to bring “The Law” to both Junkertown and the neighbouring comunity of Cherryblossom Heights.
Here’s what I’ve got so far.
So we have from left to right Judge Cassandra Anderson, Judge Dredd and Judge Giant and in the back Dredd on his Lawmaster bike.
I’ve since found two more of the bikes in my bits box so Anderson and Giant should get their rides too, after that I have a few ideas for some more vehicles but then things will probably be on hold until Microworld releases their new Microwasteland line, we’ll see…
Oh and for those of you unfamiliar with both Junkertown or Cherryblossom Heights here’s a picture of our intrepid hero’s beat

I sense a shoulder padded style sculpt coming on!
What make are those figures?30/05/2016 at 22:31 #42676
They are GZG NAC troopers, Dredd is a normal fig the others are head swaps, the bike is an Exodus Wars Guild Prefect Rapid Response model.
I just filed of some parts from the back and a little from the front to make them blockier and then did a head + shoulders swap on the rider.

Oooooh that’s very nice! I’ve been looking for some not-Dredd models and those guys work out really well. Great job, and thanks for the idea!

Stunning work, and some great ideas there – opens up a whole realm of possibilities – Block Wars, SovBloc invasions, ABC warriors…….and I’m sure some of Angel Barrack’s character figures will make great perps!
Looking forward to seeing how this new project develops….31/05/2016 at 21:21 #42719greg954Participant

I can’t wait to see where you take this.05/01/2017 at 15:39 #55035
Well I got some of the exelent Microworld Wasteland minis for christmas so I can finally continue with this project.
I decided to finish my judges first, I made a fourth judge and then converted three more bikes so they would all have rides.
Here’s a pic
And a little preview of whats to come
That’s it for now, more to come as I paint them.
I’m also still looking for a good car chase rule set for this so if you know of any good ones let me know.

As a lot of people have asked about the size of the wasteland figures vs other 6mm miniature lines I thought I’d take a quick size comparison picture.
The judges are all GZG miniatures(1 standard,3 headswaps) and the figure on the far right is from Angel Barracs.
As you can see there’s a few real big boys in there but overall I’d say they size up pretty well imo.
The real big ones are mainly from the first 2 sets of wasteland warriors the later sets tend to be a bit smaller.
I don’t really mind actually because hey, who knows what kind of strange mutated freaks roam the wastelands 8)

What is the nearest airport to your house? I am about to get a flight to yours!
I’ve often felt the same way looking at your work Micheal
So, where could a bloke lose his wife and kids in Bristol around Blast-tastic so I can sell it to SWMBO as a family vacation

Head swaps on 6mm figures. Only in TWW.12/01/2017 at 15:15 #55480
I’ve painted a few of the more punk style warriors.
They are great sculpts with lots of detail, altough I must admit they can be a bit intimidating to start on.
As I was painting them I suddenly remembered I had an Angel Barracks mini that was perfect for this project and here he is to.
Hold it right there perp!
That’s all I’ve got painted for now.
I think I will use these for a test game of the TwoHourWargame Chain Reaction rules as I am thinking of getting the Urban Renewal, New hope City P.I. and Machinas rules to cobble something together that will let me capture the Judge Dredd Case Files feeling.
I will do my utmost best to give you an AAR of that but with my (non existent) AAR track record I ain’t promising anything.😅

Very cool.15/01/2017 at 21:06 #55688
Only managed to get a little painting done over the weekend.
Decided to have a go at some of the cars, one of each model I’ve bought so far.
The first two are going to go with the Rainbow Mohawk Road Warriors gang.
Hmm…. in hindsight I’m going to have to put some mohawks on those two riders.
The third one belongs to the Walton gang.
From left to right, the twins Bubba, Ma Walton, Pa Walton, Billy-Bob the oldest son and the daughter Bobby-Jo.
I’m thinking of getting them an up armored tow-truck and basing them out of a junk yard/chop shop (Angel Barracks zippy couriers, supply dump, junkerheaps…)
Sorting through the rest of the figures I found two more candidates for the mohawk gang and five others which will become more or less normal wasteland travellers (truckers, bounty hunters, prospecters…) the rest will probably form a biker gang but we’ll see that when I get to them.
The vehicle rules are 95% sure to be THW’s Machinas with a few tweaks for open road/city traffic methinks.
For the investigations I’m still on the fence between THW Urban Renewal/NHC PI. and The Department Of Fabricant Management from Four Color Figures.
If any of you have any experience with any of these games your insights would be appreciated.
Till next time,

Ah, if all goes well you shall.
One of the reasons I’m interested in the rule sets I mentioned above, apart from the obvious solo aspect, is that they involve a certain amount of book keepin/chronicaling of various events/people you meet so you’re almost writing your AAR as you go along. At least that’s what I hope will be the case 😉

I needed a break from sculpting so I painted some more gangers and vehicles.
I also bought the pdf’s of the rules mentionned above, now I just need to get to a print shop to have them printed out.(going bonkers trying to reference stuff on my phone).

Yeah, the first wave of the Wasteland Warriors line has some definate scale issues, both in the vehicles and human figures.
Wave two looks to be a lot more consistent judging by the greens which have been previewed.
It actually looks worse in the picture than it does in real life.
On the other hand I’ve seen enough weirdly proportionned real life hotrods that I don’t really mind.
