Currently in the middle aisle of Lidl is a fishing bag / carry-all that may be handy for skirmish or smaller figures / vehicles:
The boxes are a tight fit so figures would need to be padded as you have to twist and pull to get them out:
The material looked study with solid seams – I would assume water resistant (not the zips) but not really an issue for us π
I cannot find it on their site and it’s not in the two published leaflets so I have no idea how low it will be in store – I saw this yesterday in Brigg and there where approx 10 so I assume it was a Thursday delivery item.
Store finder is at https://www.lidl.co.uk/c/store-finder/s10023098
Not steal your thunder Andrew but this one seems better value.
@Willz – no problems it’s been many years since I bought one and often Lidl are cheap π and this one has the boxes flat not on their edge.
I know Go Outdoors stock fishing gear but my ‘real’ (sorry) fishing shop closed many years ago – real shame as it was also a model and wargaming shop all in one! The only fishing kit stockist locally has horrible plastic ‘work boxes’ that spring open with the slightest weight in them.

I was thinking they would lay flat Andrew.
The LIDL one is pretty good, build quality looks OK on the bag.Β The 6 large boxes sit flat but their compartments are pretty small and all the same rectangular shape…perfect if that matches your basing preference however.
The 2 smaller boxes have similar sized compartments but stand on end in side pockets.
