One of the games run last month was a warm up game of Chain of Command, part of a planned game later this year to refight La Drang using Chain of Command and the ‘DMZ Second Tour’ amendments.
If you would like to see a brief report on the game and thoughts about the planning then just follow the link to the club blog.

Looks really good. I know that you’re aiming at a more balanced game but the NVA should probably have more troops if the US is going to have all of that firepower. The real battle was a very close thing, with the disaster at LZ Albany the next day showing the NVA still had plenty of teeth.

Hi DSG and thanks for your comment.
Yes you make a good point and although I’m not involved in this little project this year I have been in previous ones and know that these little warm up efforts will not be the final game but are used to test out ideas that will be pulled together in the final production.
More anon I think

Interesting game and look forward to more game reports.
Quick note – it’s Ia (‘EeYa’) not La Drang – it’s right in the blog.
