ParticipantIn the latest issue of Miniature Wargames we have another broad selection of gaming topics and styles making another unmissable issue!
On the cover we have Momentous Civil War. Arthur Harman tweaks a new ACW set of rules to his satisfaction and shares the results but – later on in the same issue – he reviews the rules so you’ll get both his insight and his gaming recommendations.
In Command Decision Jon Sutherland brings us the second part of his campaigning in the Horse & Musket period trilogy. A Coat Of The Very, Very Best deals with terrain and weather.
In Send Three And Fourpence Conrad Kinch asks the question: if you are a historical wargamer the question, why aren’t you roleplaying? And – just as importantly – do you realise that you probably already are… He also makes some rules recommendations.
In Avanti Italia! Richard Marsh of Rapid Fire gives us three new scenarios exploring the forces of Italy and their elite opponents in WWII, although the games could be used with any ruleset.
In Warhead 2 we conclude our super-spy scuba shenanigans with rules for cinematic undersea scuba-action.
We have another double scratchbuild session an Crater Creator we have another stab at building convincing craters for your battlefield and in Best Intent Tony Harwood builds a couple of Yurts!
With Recce we have a large selection of books & rules reviewd. In Defence In Depth and Quartermaster we review latest in figures and more and the Last Word concludes on when wargaming is no longer fun.
Enjoy

ParticipantAs usual, I haven’t even received the February issue yet.
I don’t know what’s wrong with MW’s mailing system. Since October or so, I haven’t received my regular copies. But I do receive them afterwards when I specifically ask for them, so that’s good! I do receive other mail from the Uk, although usually in closed enveloppes.
I’m not saying this is MW’s fault (there could well be someone somewhere snatching my copies before they arrive in my mailbox), and as I said, subscription staff has been helpful in replacing copies gone AWOL, but if this continues, I cannot continue my subscription when it’s up for renewal. There’s little point in paying for a magazine that doesn’t arrive.

Hi Phil
I am sorry: I have just poked them (again) in the subscriptions department. If you do the same maybe we can get to the bottom of this!
