In issue 489 of Miniature Wargames we have a selection of rules and periods plus some crafting and painting tutorials for all wargamers.

The cover features Space Dwarves: The Einherjar Are Here!, yes they’re straight from Valhalla (via Wargames Atlantic) and with free plastic space dwarves worth £5 there’s an article – called Fast Dwarves – on Speed Painting them inside using Army Painter products including both Speed Paint and Varnish Dip together…

In Send Three And Fourpence the Chaos Wizards Rise! Mr Kinch presents part one of a scenario starting a solo campaign for Stargrave

In Primordial Floods you can get your feet wet with this diluvian punch up using Tribal rules by the author Aramiha Harwood.

In The Other Partizan The Editor gives a show report the unimaginatively titled late, late 2023 show.

Botany Bay 1789: yes it’s another Command Decision and Jon Sutherland presents a series of three antipodean scenarios using Mad Dogs & Englishmen.

In Reds, Whites & Blood Red Snow we present gaming the Russian Civil War. In this part one we cover a little bit of scene setting…

In Better Balaclava Arthur Harman raids ebay for a ‘70s board game and gives tips on improving yours!

In our  Scratch Build section you can add a swinging gate to your big beautiful wall with more wargames scenery tips…

Last word: We have Paul Howells of Pandyman Entertainment.

Finally, we have the review sections with Defence in Depth for Figures and rules, plus we have Forward Observer for news and Recce for insightful book reviews.

    Enjoy!

Another excellent  issue John, looking forward to it.

one small correction:- the officer helion figure is male, and was a citadel judge cal figure, not Anderson.
