I am gearing up for trying out a new set of rules, When Nightmares Come, the latest offering in the Osprey blue book series.
Although the rules are set in the contemporary era, I am going for a 1920s pulp setting, to match minis and terrain in my collection.
My random musings so far are on the blog

A Case is a series of games, usually 6, so a mini-campaign.

I do like the beginnings of your campaign – er case Graham! You seem to have a great knack for this era.

The modern weapons seem to help keep the monsters away (esp the Tommy gun) though – long term is this going to lead to a dull game or lots and lots of monsters do you think?
As for re-death of a mummy – good point I’ve no idea what it’s called!

Monsters save on 4+ normally, the tommy gun makes it a save on 6+. The Minions roll d6s so they tend to die in droves. The Mummified Priests save on d8s, so they are a bit harder. The Temple Guardians save on d10s, so they are much more resilient.
As I have said elsewhere, the jury is out on these rules at the moment, they are elements I really like. I might tweak the way the monsters behave to give the PCs a bit more of a challenge.
