Thanks for the stories, I always enjoy reading them.
Fascinating little personal slices of experience. I wish I had asked my grandfather to write his stories down, or transcribed his tales.
I asked him over 20 years ago; he deflected the questions. I figure veterans often don’t want to talk about it and let him be. But he started responding to email questions last year. I hope he gets around to telling how he won the bronze star.
