Over the past weeks I have been refurbishing my 25mm medieval figures for “Lion Rampant”. Here of some photo of the retinues I am working on, I fancy doing a campaign fighting the French civil war around 1358 – 1360 ish. That way I don’t have to paint many English.
French with mounted.
I painted most of these 20 years ago, apart from the crossbowmen in this picture. These I got of ebay the other week and all I had to do was lighten the bases and and some flowers.
French all foot.
The opponents all French foot.
Those are superb. 🙂
These look great.
Very nice, some Garrison Genoese Crossbows there I think. Lion Rampant is great for getting old figures back on the table.

Very true, it’s made me dust off some old Essex medievals that I’ve had kicking around for over 20 years!
Cheers for all you kind comments,

Yes OB they are Garrison figures picked up off E-bay and as said all I had to do was lighten the base add flowers, oh I gave them a matt varnish first. I like the rules concept of “Lion Rampant” reminds me very much of “Cry Havoc” board game from the 80’s.
Cheers Jim.
