Mike
KeymasterWe just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone that uses TWW.
It is always difficult to start something new, especially when there is already an established presence in that sector. But we feel we have more to offer at the moment than other hobby sites and we will continue to offer more as we grow.
One thing we want to do is a show/convention calendar page; we imagine this would be a great resource for gamers.
Also people are starting to submit articles for the Magazine section.
It is coming along nicely. So we are very grateful for everyone that has joined and even more so to those that have paid to sponsor the site and to those traders that have chosen to associate with us.
We are getting new members each day and this is a good sign.
We are not perfect and the IE7 bug still haunts some people, please bear with us as we try to fix issues.
We are sorry about that.
Also please understand that we are not coders and any new features and bug fixing is mostly reliant on outsourcing.Anyway, please keep using TWW for as long as you feel it has something to offer you, and once again thank you very much for helping us create this community for all of us.

KeymasterAlso, as you are here, it has come to my attention that one thread you probably should all be aware of is unknown to many.
It is here: http://www.thewargameswebsite.com/forums/forum/general-discussion-3/announcements-from-tww/
I would advise subscribing to this board and its threads to stay up to date with TWW announcements.

Aww. Thank you for providing an alternative place to hang out.
We are not perfect and the IE7 bug still haunts some people,
There’s an easy fix for that. Get a 21st century browser

ParticipantThis has become a regular forum for me to visit several times a day, which speaks volumes IMHO. So well done to you and Sam and all that have signed up so far.

ParticipantI’ll second that! TWW has become one of my regular ‘go to’ wargaming forums, and it’s great to see so many of my favorite wargaming luminaries here. Thanks to Mike and Sam for making this happen. Long may TWW thrive and grow!
Cheers,

ParticipantI think TWW has made an excellent start, ‘cos it is difficult to get a new thing off the ground!
It has been given a boost by having a lot of recognisable ‘names’ who are always worth reading.
A show calendar sounds like a great idea. Would it be a ‘wiki’ type thing where anyone can add one?

ParticipantNice job Mike. Due to RW duties, I have not been posting online for a few weeks, but I still continue to read via the RSS feed. The quality of the contributors is very good.

KeymasterI am also pleased to see that people who previously ‘fought’ on other sites are getting along nicely on here.
Oh and we have been working on the show calendar and it will be ready in a few days.
I am just populating it with some shows.
There will also be a form to submit shows for us to add on your behalf.
I think having news, fora, articles and a calendar all on one site is a pretty neat offering.
But then, I would say that!07/09/2014 at 23:16 #7500kyoteblue
ParticipantI will have my local conventions info for you as I get it. They ain’t big but they are fun !!!
