@willz doooo eeeet!
A union command stand. All strelets plastics from various sets, the standard bearer ( originally a standing infantry man) had His musket removed and replaced with A pin for the standard.13/06/2020 at 12:50 #138118

@willz thanks very much,
these are the 1st Massachusetts volunteers in their all light blue uniform. I’m a fan of units in unusual kit in any conflict but especially the ACW.25/06/2020 at 10:31 #138706

imex confederate cavalry29/06/2020 at 11:21 #139084
imex cavalry. They’ve had minor surgery so that the two outer ones are shooting much more to the front rather than their colleagues either side, which is how they come in the box.30/06/2020 at 09:49 #139187
a Metal newline cannon and crew.30/06/2020 at 11:29 #139198

I decided JEB on his own wasn’t ‘command-y’ Enough, so he’s now conferring with an Infantry officer
while a standard bearer looks on.
foot figures are metal new line designs.03/07/2020 at 11:09 #139521
All strelets, 1st South Carolina volunteer infantry.
they were the first black unit raised in the north, all the men were escaped slaves from Florida or South Carolina.04/07/2020 at 10:08 #139631
Union troops firing from strelets again.05/07/2020 at 11:24 #139685
another rescued and repainted airfix model, union cannon and artillery crew. These survived quite well except for the ends of the long pieces.05/07/2020 at 12:26 #139701jeffersParticipant
I’m more than happy to see I’ve caused some fantastic painting!
More nonsense on my blog: http://battle77.blogspot.com/06/07/2020 at 11:20 #139752
@jeffers the nostalgia rush was strong.
strelets confederates standing with 2 metal standard Bearers from 1st corp. more Texans.07/07/2020 at 11:43 #139867
a reclaimed airfix limber.
this was probably the worst one so far. The plastic was like chalk.
While very gently trimming flash with a brand new scalpel blade one horse lost his tail and a leg, 2 other horses lost legs and one of the outriders split into 3 pieces!
i wouldn’t have bothered trying to repair and rebuild the damage if it wasn’t for the nostalgia attached to these figures.
im pretty certain it isn’t going to survive first contact with the enemy unscathed.07/07/2020 at 16:17 #139892
Love the limbers fair oaks as I love the look of all you figures. I coat all my plastic figures with PVA glue and especially the weaker ones I mix watered down PVA wood glue with watered down green stuff to strengthen the figures.07/07/2020 at 17:25 #13989708/07/2020 at 10:23 #139935
some of warbases small casualty marker dials for casualty/disorder markers. The figures are strelets.
