Angel Barracks
ModeratorOKI super structure is done.
It was very difficult to stop, I am so used to adding little bits here and there, due to the Badlands buildings that it was a test to actually stop, after all the OKI buildings are quite plain. It will go in a mould tomorrow all being well.

ParticipantNow that is a bit tasty! And with the larger doorway, it’d work as a smaller structure for the 10 and 15mm heretics.
And kudos for the restraint on the gribblification.

Thanks, it was not easy…
I have been pondering my HOMEPAGE
Is that gallery actually any good, or would I be better off having something else there?

ModeratorRighty then.
The Big OKI Super Structure (BOSS) mould has been done and is sitting on my printer curing.
Having measured the volume of the BOSS it will be the same cost as the Junkerdome or thereabouts.
So circa £7.50 ish.As you can see, the mould is ready to be used on the 20th, so a few days after that I should have painted one up and have it on the site.
😀

As long as punters get to see some new stuff on a regular(ish) basis, I’d say it’s all good. I like galleries personally.
17/02/2015 at 10:14 #17714Angel Barracks
ModeratorThanks.
I tweaked it yesterday, I changed the size of the gallery, made the images stay on the page for less time so people could see the changes, also added the Know Your Enemy image..05/03/2015 at 14:05 #19112Angel Barracks

ModeratorI have made a quick objective/ruined vehicle, a busted up pathfinder.
Nothing exciting but cheaper than a metal one and looks more damaged. That will go in a mould tomorrow.

ModeratorIt is damn hard work trying to survive on Kometenmelodie, let alone make a living.
The Oldsons have a small farm that cultivates the seed of the Deema plant.
The seed is really quite sought after, and can command a very good price.
However the harvesting and cultivation is a massive pain as it is, so having to worry about the local wildlife eating the crop can send a man to an early grave!Luckily, the Oldsons have just invested in a Nielson Force Fence!
Not only does it keep the local fauna at bay, it has been known to deter bandits and other folk prone to less than honourable intentions.
Keep your family and livelihood secure, Nielson Force Fence Secure.

I am putting out a scifi expansion for FiveCore Company Commander and since it’s well suited for 6mm scifi, I wanted to see if you wanted your figures to be featured.

ModeratorHearing about the town of Stonehaven and being unimpressed with the actions of the Junker Insurgents, the Zhang family have left Anshan and moved there.
Not having any immediate skills but seeing a gap in the market, they set up Anshan Sushi, bringing the best of New Chin Republic cuisine to the Badlands.

ModeratorSoooo…
With the crowdfunder brining in more shiny character figures, I decided that maybe some scenario driven buildings would be in order.
Now, it is not pretty at the moment, and to be fair it will not be pretty when done, but it will be functional.I present the beginnings of the StoneHaven bank!
It will be available in resin.
I plan on trialling some custom cut force fields to go around it.
If they look good then I may offer them as an upgrade for the bank..30/04/2015 at 22:50 #23273Ivan Sorensen
ParticipantMaybe some little gun turrets that can be put on roof tops? I imagine a bank might want some extra defences 🙂

ModeratorWhilst a nice idea, that would mean getting them cast up in metal which would be too costly.
🙁
I do need a selection of bits and bobs though for 6mm sci-fi add ons.
Sat dishes, air con units, doors, windows, gun turrets etc..05/05/2015 at 10:43 #23584Angel Barracks

ModeratorI have filled the gaps and started adding a texture to the walls.
Almost done the walls, another coat will do.
Then onto the roof details. My bespoke force fence pieces just arrived.
I will be adding these onto my base and will offer them as an additional extra if people want it:The main building will go in a mould on Wednesday (had to order some more silicone) and will be available to buy about 10 days after that.

ParticipantI’ve been thinking…
I know you’re something of a 6mm champion, but how difficult for you would it be to recreate your scenery items in 3mm? I’m thinking in particular of the Junker/Stonehaven gear, and maybe a few of the generic pieces too.
The lack of decent 3mm scenery is starting to frustrate me.
17/05/2015 at 18:05 #24493Angel Barracks
ModeratorJunker and Stonehaven would be a possibility.
Though as small set pieces rather than individual models.
Maybe a credit card size base with several buildings on it?The walls would be a doddle, but would involve re-printing at half size, easy but more costly than scratch building a small set piece.
17/05/2015 at 18:06 #24494Ivan Sorensen
Participantyeah, 3mm terrain is a bit limited. Some of the AB buildings I have would probably look fine in 3mm too. They’d just be big hangar types, instead of moderate houses.
Though I’m kind of a heretic when it comes to that kinda stuff.

ModeratorCool.
Credit card sizes a good standard size for a terrain piece?
You will be able to place them adjacent and make bigger BUA things.17/05/2015 at 20:07 #24503Ivan Sorensen
ParticipantI’d prefer square unless you have a stash of old credit cards you’re trying to get used up 🙂
It’s not a deal breaker either way. Just that oblong shapes can be a bit less flexible.

Moderatorunless you have a stash of old credit cards you’re trying to get used up
actually I do!
😀Plus if people want to make their own extra pieces, then spare/old cards will be easy to use and be ready cut with nice rounded corners.
17/05/2015 at 20:13 #24506Ivan Sorensen
ParticipantHaha, whatever works is fine by me.
Regardless fo shape, the idea of little “ready to go” pieces you can just push together is fantastic.
Some alien rock formations would be great too, in the same vein.Nordic Weasel Games
