So the first cab is designed:
Now, such a small model enlarged this much does look odd.
In that the windows look they are really deeply sunken into the model, however when printed the windows are in fact a mere 0.2mm deep.
So they will look a lot less stark in real life. The seats will be green stuff so they are soft and squidgy like the RDF prefer.
So they are not shown. The weapon may or may not be CAD, depends on the print quality.
I will investigate when I get a sample of the cab back from the new printers…27/11/2015 at 19:41 #35027Angel BarracksModerator27/11/2015 at 20:39 #35030Rules Junkie JimParticipantLookin’ good. That “supply” version’s going to be a sci-fi technical (or several, actually) as soon as I get my mits on it.

My other RDF vehicles are kind of D&D character classes (kind of)
There is:
Pathfinder Ranger
Pathfinder Archer
Pathfinder Warrior
and all can be up-armoured into a Paladin variant.I need a similar theme for my skimmers, there is the basic light open top supply/fast one. A covered troop transporter on and the missile pod support one..
Any ideas?07/12/2015 at 16:43 #35354Angel BarracksModerator07/12/2015 at 21:06 #35366moredakkaParticipantCool mate, I must admit the paint job certainly helps with the look of these.

Nice work again mate.
11/12/2015 at 12:29 #35511Angel BarracksModeratorKometenmelodie Vehicle Works under the guidance of its CEO, Mr Siggian has taken advanced orders on its new vehicles.
KVW already produce the Bullfrog amphibious truck:
favoured by locals and Junker Insurgents. The latest vehicles to roll off the production line are the KVW Skimmer range, comprised of the Asp, Adder and Cobra.
The Asp is a basic utility vehicle marketed toward cargo and light haulage for civilian use.
The Adder is an armoured version of the Asp.
The Cobra is the Adder with the deadly Pilum Missile System integrated.
Both the Adder and the Cobra are RDF vehicles.
It is believed that the RDF will be able to further disrupt the Junker Insurgents who have until now, been using the amphibious capabilities of the Bullfrog truck to evade RDF capture.

Thanks, decals, I had some custom decals made.
🙂
17/12/2015 at 00:51 #35734Lagartija MikeSpectatorImpressive rust detail. Even the decals look neat but hand done.

Commander half figures for turrets, crew types sat at rest/travelling, general ‘tank rider’ types for ‘loading’ technicals etc……..
Just sayin’!!’

I may have a crack at that.
For now,
WIP of a workerbot:
Will have claws/grips on the ends and some other details etc..
07/01/2016 at 21:01 #36359Gaz045ParticipantEOD bot!
Need a ‘recon’ version with machine gun and scanner, casevac version with stretcher, ammo mule with crates……….driller bot for prospecting …….golf cart version for the execs!

07/01/2016 at 23:21 #36362Northern MonkeyParticipantreally like those drones/bots, what mini is that posing with the workerbot?
Have you thought about making upgrade/mod packs: spare guns, dozer blades, mesh panels, comms dish, crane arm, turrets etc so we can mod your stuff ourselves?

07/01/2016 at 23:50 #36364Angel BarracksModeratorCheers dudes!
It is the leader from the Junker Insurgent pack.
Or doc, the guy on the very first page of this topic..Have you thought about making upgrade/mod packs: spare guns, dozer blades, mesh panels, comms dish, crane arm, turrets etc so we can mod your stuff ourselves?
Why yes, there was posted just today to the caster, a crane arm and dozer blade for a Pathfinder upgrade kit!
(the ones above in fact)
I am debating conversion stuff in general though, I am not sure the market for 6mm conversions is that great is it?I know there are some very wise people that like the 6mm skirmish and the extra level of detail that brings, but is there enough to warrant all the fiddly bits that people will not buy many of?
08/01/2016 at 07:37 #36367ThuseldParticipantAny modifications I would feel like making would likely be muddled together myself. I don’t know if I would want to get a packed of tiny little mods for various 6mm things.

08/01/2016 at 09:43 #36383Angel BarracksModeratorYou all remember the The Nielson Force Fence?
Well the guys that I get the acrylic from sent me these in the post, to see what I think.
What do you think, interested in different colour versions?

no idea if there is a market for these things other than me, but 6mm scenic and building conversion packs are available (brigade &GZG) so why not vehicles, not all of us are competent enough modellers to make stowage, spare tyres, dozer blades etc at this scale
