For those interested in a more geeky read, Anthony King has written a new book on the divisional level of command from the beginning of the C20 up to the modern day.  Lots of interesting stuff and as usual a bold thesis.

    Dammit, more expense.

I take it from the initials “JWH” on the amazon.co.uk review that you are the guilty party responsible for confirming, as well as initially stimulating, my decision to buy the bloody thing.

    All the best,

    John.

Erm…guilty. But looking forward to hearing what you think of it!

Incidentally (for anyone interested), his Combat Soldier book has been published in paperback at a much more affordable price.

Thanks, that looks interesting. It won’t take up any shelf space either as I bought the kindle version.
