So, in 1984 John Dennett sculpted a Demorgon miniature for Grenadier.  It’s one of my favorite figures from that era, and it was recently featured in Stranger Things on Netflix.

John is currently updating the sculpt for a modern scale, to reflect current casting & moldmaking technology, and of course 30 years of practice & improving skills!

Here’s the armature along with the original so you can see the scale of the new model.

    Bulking out the wire…

Keep an eye on the https://www.facebook.com/DemogorgonKickstarter/ page for regular updates, although I’ll post news here when I can.

Cool. The old figure has a lot of charm (especially as seen in Stranger Things) but as with most figures from that era there seems to be a certain “flatness” to it due to the limitations in mouldmaking back then.

The new figure is impractically large for me, but for the real nutters out there it would make a great adversary to the Heresy dragon.

It’s going to come with a nameplate that can optionally go on the front of the base, to appeal to statue collectors & model kit builders as well as gamers.

At this scale, it’s slightly bigger than the Gale Force 9 Demogorgon, and as big as the largest dragon models on the market.

I think it’s just right, although of course at that size its uses will be pretty limited.

I just want one for my display shelf!
