One of the games played at this month’s meeting of the DWG was a Swordpoint game, recreating the events of Nicopolis in 1396.
As you can see the chaps got a lot of toys out on the table and much fun was had playing the rules.

A group of us visited the Nicopolis battlefield a few years ago. From my own observations of a memorable trip, I hope you won’t mind me saying that your depiction of it lacks a few things:
Joking apart: I’m no medievals buff but this is a battle I do have some interest in, so it’s great to see your AAR. Nice job!

As someone still covered from top to toe with hoofprints I think it also lacked the relevant defensive terrain that might have helped me a little but then I blame the gurning , toothless North Devon shephard who organised the game .
Not that I am bitter or anything …………….., anyway it is always nice to get that many figures out on the table , that has always been one of the main purposes of our club along with trying out new or obscure rulesets.
