AFAIK it’s the same word in the US of A. I don’t recall meeting the term until I worked in a warehouse.

I reckon it’s a typo for ‘In Packing”!
or in poking, they underfilled the order so are using a razor blade to open the packaging and poke a few more in.

Obvious contrarian and passive aggressive old prat, who is taken far too seriously by some and not seriously enough by others.
I worked in a warehouse for a few weeks once. I was a ‘picker’.
Basically it means just what it says. You pick the items listed on the order and parcel them up ready for despatch!
