I love them, especially the rock golems. Do you think your tall tower would work for 10mm?18/05/2018 at 08:38 #90674
Yes the tall tower would work for 10mm as it’s a true scale 6mm so would be very slightly undersized 10mm.18/05/2018 at 09:28 #90680
a new army yay any ideas folk
Well undead and lizardmen/draconians are two options that always seem popular.
Maybe another human faction to oppose the dragon knights?
also, I’d love to see some more character models and monsters for the dungeon line.

Will be exepanding the dungeon line , I will soon be distributing pocket quest direct from the store, so thought I should add to it18/05/2018 at 11:21 #9069318/05/2018 at 11:39 #90696
I do want to do them have all sorts of designs in my head but it’s all cost vs sales18/05/2018 at 16:32 #90706greg954Participant
I’m with Stroezie, you can’t beat a good skeleton army. Dungeon stuff is always of interest too.

Characters can be an easy thing to do, you can even do “scenario packs” for PQ. Like “Tower of the Grey Wizard” which could have different constructs, summoned monsters, henchmen and the wizard himself. Of a “Den of Liche” which could have giant spiders, cave dwelling whatevers, basic skeletons and ghouls as well as Skeleton knights and Wights and spectors and the evil Liche. Could do a dwarven mine with all sorts of vehicles and wonders, elven beast riders, necromancers’ tomb with is minions…

will add a few characters first, but as single high detail fantasy minis they be around £1 each, have to bear in mind i wont sale hundreds, but if they do sale i will keep adding to these.

I would have no problem buying a single character mini for 1gbp. But that’s also why I suggested “scenario packs”, which could be packs of 6-10 minis that have some commonality. Makes molding much easier as you could put 2 or 3 sets of the same thing on a mold and bang them out.

Yeah it’s a good idea, will sort out that entire range in the coming months as it’s got a bit messy, need some dungeon scenics aswell hmmm lots to do19/05/2018 at 12:42 #90744
Happy to hear you’ve got plans for the dungeon line.
If you’re uncertain about the single character models you could maybe do a pre order, I’d certainly be up for that.
Senario packs like the old heroquest packs would be cool too especially if they came with their own Pocket Quest adventure.
If you’re looking for more inspiration for monsters and/or dungeon furniture you can check out my own modest efforts here

Thanks, coming from someone like you that means a lot.
If you think my creations are good enough I’d love to sculpt some more for you.
I have to warn you though, I’ve never made any minis that were meant for casting, so you may have to give me a few pointers on the do’s and don’ts so they don’t rip the molds or have parts to thin for casting.

That’s fine happy to advise but also can adapt them if I think they won’t cast, can’t wait to see your work, pop updates on this thread and there is no rush at all have fun with it ! And I’m sure we can sort out a reward for Work be it payment or minis21/05/2018 at 00:32 #90797ThomastonParticipant
Those goblins are exactly what I was looking for.
Saved me a lot of sculpting my own 😀21/05/2018 at 15:16 #90818
need some dungeon scenics aswell
This is where you can really go deep! Beyond treasure chests and piles of gold you can have some really cool items! Classic stuff like alters, thrones, statues with gemstone eyes, giant animated mouth on a wall… but also different sorts of traps like giant saw blades, spiked smashing walls, and mundane things like tables and chairs and doors and beds and fireplaces and piles of animal skins…

So I still had the Hook horror and the Grell mage unpainted in my painting que and I’ve now finished the new sculpts for the Roper, plain Grell and the Rust monster.
Here’s a pic with the Perfect Six mage to give you a size reference
I’ve also started on the dollies for the Beholder and the Otyug so hopefully I’ll have more to show to you soon.

Looking cool, the one with the arms coming forward would be hard to cast , the two arms need to be more open,
On a side note , have sorted a giant spider and dire wolfs for my next master mould23/05/2018 at 12:41 #9101202/06/2018 at 17:56 #92401
started work on a 6mm skeleton army, this is the first mini, skelly standard bearer,02/06/2018 at 18:16 #92403Angel BarracksModerator
Very cool too.
You know I was never keen on skeleton armies, but if you have a lot to paint then lack of uniform is a definite winner in my book.02/06/2018 at 20:14 #92405Gone FishingParticipant
Wow, Stroezie, those look very good indeed. Are those monsters going to be available commercially or are they just for personal use? Looking forward to seeing what you do with the Beholder and Otyugh…
EDIT: Ah, just went back and read the earlier posts. I’ll watch developments with interest.

Ah well yes. Pretty much that really. 🙂
Was thinking the legs could benefit from looking longer. Maybe even make the rib cage one rib shorter and raise the legs. But sounds like you have it sorted. 🙂
