Does your partner also game, or share your hobby in any way?

Very occasionally, and then often only under duress…

    No, thank gods.

Obvious contrarian and passive aggressive old prat, who is taken far too seriously by some and not seriously enough by others.

Not at all. She has no interest in games.

Never argue with an idiot. They'll only drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Nope, not at all. She thinks it’s a cool hobby but not her cup of tea.

No.  She gamed a little up until just before we started dating.  I game; she does paper crafting, making paper models, cards, scrapbooking, etc.

Not miniature games, but I got her into board games and we usually play a game on Saturdays. Her favorite is Ticket to Ride though we play a variety of games.

My wife plays board games.  Once in a while I can convince her to do something with miniatures, but she doesn’t have an interest.

My wife plays board games and RPGs. She has no interest in wargaming, but has played Memoir ’44 and Airfix Battles with me.

No interest – but is very supportive of my interest and will visit gaming shows with me and travel to the game store.

My wife is a gamer, we actually met while playing an RPG online.

She sort of is interested in video games, she enjoys RPG’s, she’ll dabble in miniatures a bit and she enjoys card and board games.

    We game quite a bit.

No interest in wargames whatsoever, but is happy that I have a hobby rather than going down the pub every Friday/Saturday night.

Not at all. Occasionally, we play the boardgame Carcassonne together. But I have to play in “social mode”, not in “cut-throat” mode as I would do with my regular gaming pals.

There are advantages to having different hobby interests when in a relationship 😉

    Oh definitely.

A friend of mine once said it’s important for a couple to each have an interest the other thinks is stupid 😀

My Lady Joyce , thinks my little men are cute, but does not want to play with them.

    Not at all.

She is an artist though, so can take an interest in what I do. More often than not though, it’s comments about ‘little men taking over’.

We do  play board games together though, which is enough for me 🙂

My girlfriend plays with me, though I doubt she would play otherwise. She’s very supportive, helping me playtest home-brew games, and helping me at conventions. I’m very lucky.

    Richmond, VA. Let's play!

Rarely these days, but in the past the better half has played several different boardgames,  Wings of War(Glory) which she kicked ass at, Pirates CSG and she has dabbled with painting some minis, quite nicely too!

Sounds like you got pretty lucky 🙂

My partner hates wargaming and simply calls it “little men”

No. Not after she beat me…
