Hey everyone. Just putting more work into my China campaign and was wondering what everyone thought was a reasonable rating for the LG5/QLU11. I had it rated as a medium support weapon but was toying with bumping it down to a light support weapon. What do you guys think?
That’s quite a bit of kit, Aiden, I think you could go either way with it.
Think we need to consider the known GL’s to come up with something to try out.
AM203 GL is light support – AP:1/AT:0(L)
an Mk17 AGL is Med support – AP:3/AT:0(M)
The Norinco LG5/QLU11 is semi auto and classed as light by the Chinese but has a sniperesque & airburst capability – so maybe split the difference between the two knowns to give it the punch it deserves?
LG5/QLU11: AP:2/AT:0(L)
As a sighted weapon I’d suggest that should give it 3FP in game if stationary, 2FP with tactical movement, 0FP with rapid movement.
Hope this is of some help!
Really interesting. Thanks.
And I believe that it’s a light support for its weight, but it’s a bit cumbersome for an easy use and manhandle. I agree with Papasan about statistics.
Thanks for the replies! I agree it is a tricky one to represent satisfactorily! Will certainly be factoring these insights into future scenarios!
