For anyone who has the 2nd edition of Programmed Wargames Scenarios, what is the I-IC unit in Force Number 13 (Horse & Musket)?

It might be Light Cavalry, but I’ll check my 1st edition, as far as I can tell there is only one new scenario difference, so the OOB should be the same…

Looking at 2nd edition, I would say that is an error code. Page 12 defines the code and does not list 1-IC. Since the list already has one unit of light cavalry listed, it must be something else. Could it be Infantry Cavalry i.e. dragoon?

Or should it read Heavy Cavalry, as heavy is always shown before medium and light?

It doesn’t appear in any other listing. I would be tempted by HC.

EDIT – note the army list for ancients shows 20% Shock and when that happens, the lists always give horse and musket at least one heavy cavalry unit, so that tends to support a view of using HC.

    From the first edition:

    5x I

    2x LtI

    1x HC

    1x MC

    1x LC

    1x Art

Obvious contrarian and passive aggressive old prat, who is taken far too seriously by some and not seriously enough by others.

The reprints offered by the “History of Wargaming” project do have OCR errors. THis is probably one of them.

Except Programmed Wargame Scenarios 2nd ed is published by Partizan Press/Caliver Books and not History of Wargaming project.

    Oops, my mistake!

Nevertheless, probably still an OCR error 😉
