ok “Bretteville L’Orgueilleuse”  out of the Rapid fire scenario book on normandy.

I finaly got some 1\72 models, the inf need bases decorating yet, and I dont have the correct german tanks, not got a few things right yet but I thought I would give the scenario a playthrough.

Rapid Fire is good, and cheap the rules are £5 New

after a quick play, I discovered the panthers had class 1 guns and the canadians ATG were class 3, so the Panthers were hitting quite often, the infantry supprisingly are the real problem for the germans. I will go again see how it works out

Rapid Fire Reloaded is a great set of fast play rules and perfect for 20mm.  I like them.

you need superglue to bond soft plastic to hard plastic, . you can also get tons of free stuff for the rules Free Downloads http://- Rapid! Fire (rapid-fire-uk.com)

the rules are great for me playing solo

turn 1, tanks landed 2 smoke shells to the north, AT guns fired at tank on road missed, the motor fired twice missed. then german tanks fired at southern AT gun but missed

germans moved forwards, and fired two tanks at each of the front AT guns, centre gun hit twice , the southern gun once, marked with green chits, the ATG have 3 crew, so still able to fire.

had to peel back battlefield, as units were getting blocked, its an easy mistake to make, to over model a wargame

You are doing a good job with the terrain. But buy/make trees. Lots of trees. Even more…trees.

Thanks! its come a long way from the first post, I’m going to be playing this scenario for a while, but I will definatly post future battles.

Rapid Fire Rules have changed my life 1/72 WW2 is abundant with models, and very cheap compared to other systems.

Great looking game.  20mm is the best scale to play WW2 in – cheap, wide range and always looks great.  Well, in my opinion anyway 🙂 And you can never have enough trees.  Trust the internet gaming hive mind, it is a wargaming mantra “you can never had enough trees”.
