In accordance with my fascination for what would have happened if the Cuban missile crisis had turned into a shooting war, I am having a bit of fun making models of the interceptor fighters in service with IA-PVO in December 1962.
Thanks to the guidance that comes with the Begemot transfer sheet, I have a fair idea of how the 1955 regulations for the VVS specify the size, style and placement of red stars on aircraft. It appears that these regulations also applied, with minor twiddles, to the VMF, MVD, and DOSAAF. However, it makes no statement about whether the rules apply to IA-PVO.
Does anyone happen to know whether IA-PVO used the same regulations as the VVS, or, if not, what regulations they used?
All the best,
John.
