Based for Impetus, another project that got put on hold. Figures by Aventine, quite good if a little chunky but appealingly so, they are of a certain style and the range as a whole is consistent.

Nice job on these – I do like Aventine figures and am planning to use these guys as skirmishers for my Etruscans. No wolfheads! Impetus bases have a lot going for them.

Thank you.
I doubt you will go wrong using Aventine, I’m loathe to recommend figures (beauty is in the eye of the beholder) normally but I have had nothing but good dealings with Mr Aventine and Co and his wares seem to match wot the authorities suggest to be the case.
Impetus does allow for some creativity in basing and some gamers have been able to really let their creativity shine. I was a relatively slow starter with the rules as they have some rather odd ratings for troop types (particularly various missile troops) which at first I didn’t think would work, however there are some cunningly and subtle adjustments for each which aren’t clear at first and I now find work quite well and add gaming flavour.

They are crackingly fine miniatures and very well painted. Lovely!
