Hi all,
We play tested the Sword & Spear rules at the Devon Wargames Group this weekend.
There is a double commentary on how we thought the rules played together with a brief description of the game.
If you are interested to see what we thought and how the game played, then just follow the link to the DWG.

Nice looking game and excellent explanation of the rules. Some interesting ideas there.
I would be interested to hear from a person who had played both this and Impetus, as to which they though gave the better game.
We play tested this recently too Romans vs Carthaginians in 6mm, we liked it and it played much quicker than it seemed it would from the read through of the rules, we usually play Warmaster and Impetus and whilst I cant say its “better” than Impetus as we’ve only played it the once so far we were all impressed by it and would gladly give it another go.

There should be a link in my sig to my blog, which has several Impetus and S&S battle reports. I’ve pretty much wholly moved over to S&S from Impetus now.
