We recently played our third game of Rommel in 6mm. The armies are more or less done, but the terrain could do with a bit more work. There’s an account of the actual game here: https://wargamesasp.wordpress.com/2017/10/25/rommel-breakout/
All figures are by Adler, all vehicles by GHQ. Unit bases are 60mm x 40mm.

I guess you could use the theme of the base terrain to identify which bases are part of the same unit?
28/10/2017 at 10:22 #75057UsagitsukiParticipantOops, sorry, got the formatting wrong on the link. The report is here: https://wargamesasp.wordpress.com/2017/10/25/rommel-breakout/
With the Russians I started out doing the infantry in groups of 3 with a similar theme, but wasn’t so organised with the Germans. Here’s some of the Germans lined up:

I’m still awestruck when I see the bases.
09/11/2017 at 19:55 #75935UsagitsukiParticipantThanks very much. I’ve made a second post going through the process with some work-in-progress pics:

09/11/2017 at 22:28 #75950Victoria DicksonParticipantThe only downside to this that I can think of is that I couldn’t play a game with them, I’d be too busy looking at all the little dioramas to concentrate on the big picture. 🙂
For some reason I only really noticed how wonderfully painted the figures are too on this last series of pictures, absolutely fantastic.
22/11/2017 at 21:57 #76782UsagitsukiParticipantStarted on some urban bases. Using a 6mm building by Blotz as the basis for the ruins.
