Earlier this month I got to visit RAF Cosford which is, with Hendon, part of the RAF Museums and hold a very interesting collection of aircraft, and military vehicles covering both world wars and the Cold War era.

Having visited Hendon several times, Cosford made for an interesting and personally evocative visit, holding many types within its collection that compliments the former museum.

    Hi Willz,

Thanks for your comment mate. Apologies for late reply but apparently the IPad no longer recognises TWW so I had to find the old PC to get in here!

We had a lot of fun checking out Cosford and it’s highly recommended especially if military planes are your thing.

    Cheers

Many thanks for a great post; very helpful.  I can confirm the use of Battledress in the 1970s as I was issued with it!

Excellent post, many thanks.  It’s marvelous that there are so many large planes so well preserved in this museum.  And cheers for sharing the posts on your mother and father, much appreciated.
