I’m in this hobby to be a storyteller and a world-builder, not a military commander.

    Me too!

We play loads of different rules, and drift fro one set to another, and also write our own. We are also such old duffers, we need to be able to setup, play an finish in a couple of hours.

In the last few months we’ve played:

    Ancients – CnC Ancients

Samurai – a homegrown set of Johns

Medieval – Tims home grown set for Agincourt (in 54mm!)

Napoleonic – CnC Napoleonic, Simplicity in Practice, Kartenspiel by Phil Sabin

Colonial – Toms skirmish set using 5Core mechanisms

APW – Rifle and Kepi (one of mine)

    ACW – Simplicity in Practice

Wild West – Shootin Time ( another one of Tims 54mm games)

WW1 – One Hours Wargames, OP14, one of those Somme card games, XII Corps? played with figures

Interwar – Tims homegrown air combat game, One Hour Wargames for the SCW

WW2 – Platoon Commanders War, Battlegroup (both homegrown), and a brigade level set I was working on.

Cold War – NATO Brigade Commander (Tims)

plus boardgames – The Grizzled, Quartermaster General WW1 and WW2, something to do with Samurai
