Could anyone tell me what uniform was worn by the Russian Horse Jaeger regiments converted from Dragoons please?

From Viskovatov, see Mark Conrad’s translation to English here: http://marksrussianmilitaryhistory.info/V11/V11.htm#hj
For greater clarity and updates, see Jonathan Gingerich’s fine reference page here: http://zaotlichiye.net63.net/allfacings.html (scroll way down).

Hi Whirlwind,
Slightly surprised by the question, since you seem more clued in than most. I haven’t found much more than what is given in Viskovatov. Use the link Bryce gave you. Leonov, Popov, and Kibovsky don’t add much other than clear indication the new uniforms arrived slowly and piecemeal.
Well, while I’m at it, the Funckens’ illustration is pretty good, but the crowned cypher on the saddlecloth should be in facing color, and the men would not wear gloves.

In general, my understanding is that the uniform worn by the Chasseurs à Cheval and the Jägers à Cheval was identical but for particulars such as Jonathan refers to. If you’re working on miniatures the question of course becomes one of scale to determine what differences are necessary to represent.
Cheers,

Thanks all.
@ Jonathan – a small gap in my knowledge! And I didn’t have my books with me…
