My latest blog entry covers a refight of the battle of Salamis, the debut on the table for my 1/2400 3D printed triremes and a final run through my new ancient fleet action rules.
Seemed like close run thing! I must say, those 3D ships make a large ancient naval battle much more doable. Looking forward to seeing the rules, especially after finishing “Carthage’s Other Wars”, ie the ones that don’t involve Rome. It’s mostly about land battles naturally, but it also delves into the naval aspect of her wars occasionally. The author also makes the point that Carthage wasn’t terribly good at wars, either on terra firma or not. I had thought they were quite the naval power, but it seems that wasn’t really the case.
