    Is this turret off a vehicle? Want to make some up from miniatures.

    I do not believe so. The photo is fairly small, but it does not look like any French tank turret that I know of.

    Picture of the turret top would be useful. If it’s from a tank it’s obviously going to have hatches.

    If it’s a fortress turret then access would have been from below.

     

    Early Renault FT turrets were round with a sloping front, but the commander’s hatch stood quite high.

    Check out the mineral water and juices that come with flip top lids…….these often have a ‘flattened dome’ shape very reminiscent of the fortifications in France……..
