If it is WSF then yes.
Even FUD has lines and what not..
I did go check the blog to see, but got distracted by the Conan stuff!
It is printed with black strong flexible material which is the least expensive material shapeways uses. It is also not the polished version of the material which results in a surface that is not smooth. It does not feel gritty, but is uneven. The ships in the tv show were a combination of shadow and earth alliance technology resulting in an organic surface and spines compared to a regular omega destroyer.
