It’s a pity the city council can’t find funds to repair the vandalism done to the artillery piece.

That I think says more about the mindless cretins that did the vandalism in the first place rather than a cash-strapped local authority probably needing the money for other priorities.

I don’t think the current council can be held accountable for the activities of Parliamentary forces in 1646.
(or the creative vision of modern bronze sculptors!)
