    Burning Martyrs

I ran a threesome of games over three successive weeks of a Slammers versus Solace Regulars (and eventually some mercenary back up) loosely based on the novel Paying the Piper by David Drake.

If you’d like to have a look at the write up of thiose three games please feel free to peruse the site.

The table top featured a new set of buildings (see below) which funnily enough – will appear in the next issue of Miniature Wargames as a short scratch-building project: SF Sheds! To find out how they are made I strongly advise you to purchase said magazine…

    Blower and sheds

    Trucks and sheds

    Lots and lots of sheds

As an additional piece of Slammers news: now that Brigade are handling almost all of the Slammers range with views to expanding it greatly, here are the new Big Detachment Sheets for the Zaporoskiye Brigade – Recce and Strike – based entirely on Brigade NeoSov models and I have some on the painting bench right now!

It is so very pretty and also a collection so very much loved.
What is the flavour of the vehicle in the top image, the one in the bottom right of said image?

The burning APC is a GZG item the Gauntlet and the Gauntlet II are used by that force and he even does a version in 6mm!

Awesome, really enjoyed the AAR’s. Great looking models and terrain and reports! Might have to buy MW again for the first time in a long time!

Thanks Rhys. I really enjoyed both the games (as I always do) and the building the pig-pen sheds (thanks to GZG for the help with bits for that project, by the way).

So far my next force – those pesky Zaporoskiye Brigade chaps – look like this:

    tanks

As you can see just two part camo so far but I have decals and will get to them asap.

Oh – and the latest issue of the magazine has an article on the Prodos APC (granted in 32mm – at least) which always ‘reminds me’ of the models available from Antenociti at one time in 15mm.

    Magazine shot – below:

    1/100th as discussed:

    Very very nice sir!

(Reminds me of a certain box STILL sitting and mocking me that needs to go elsewhere…)
