One of the lads came over yesterday and we had a very hard turning dogfight over the Channel. Four Spits and four 109s. The yellow noses got the drop on the Spits and sent two down very quickly. the other two Spitfires made them pay dearly for this and shot down three of the 109s and the great ‘Sailor’ Malan himself sent the last one home streaming glycol.
