Biggest Battle Day ever this year, both in terms of attendees and number of games (16.)  The Essex Home Guard took a 25mm Piquet game to the party and had an enjoyable day.  Our battle write up (brief) is here.

There are some photos of our game, they all looked pretty good.

Thanks, a nice looking game, the Indian army interests me, simply because as a teenager, it was the army that I always wanted but couldn’t afford (probably all those elephants) and as a result I seem to have a nostalgic connection to it – perhaps it’s about time I did something about that!

There were a lot of very fine Indian armies on display, it was sad that they were mostly going to their doom. The Indians should generally do better though as they won’t often be fighting such a high quality opponent as Alexander’s Macedonians.

Nice report and some fine looking units on the table.

Good to see a Piquet game was there. A superb rule system that captures the varying flavour and ability of different armies, not to mention built in fog of war.
