I should start by by mentioning that I only built/painted 1/2 of these tiles.  I received quite a few of these 3 by 3 inch tiles from Spacejacker(yes that guy) in a large terrain trade.  They were designed to create a small 12 by 12 desktop game.  The tiles are modular and can be shifted around.  I completed and repainted several tiles to fit in with some  hardwired games I would like to play.  It’s a small board but it fits nicely on the desk for a quick game.  16 tiles in total.

I love the Khurasan air car but it’s HUGE!!!! Enormous. I’ve not seen the Limousine but I’m thinking … two? for gaming… but how big are they?

Second photo down a woman(?) with optic over her right eye, a cloak, possibly Samurai era clothing, carrying something in her right arm. Who makes it?

Love the terrain. Cyberpunk is Urban.

    Lovely looking terrain.nice figures too.

The car looks like it might just do my 20mm stuff. Must bear that in mind when I place another Khurasan order.

Thanks, I’ll post more pictures later.

The girl is from khurasan miniatures, under the sci fi / cyborg range.

The car isn’t really that big so much as the buildings are really small.  Sort of more the idea of buildings as opposed to actual buildings.  Each tile is only 3 by 3 so it makes it hard to create the awesome skyscrapers in Blade Runner.

They’re probably bigger on the inside…

Hmmm, the idea of buildings rather than buildings.  I’m not quite sure how I feel about this.  I do tend to waffle back and forth between wanting realistic ground scale and wanting game scales.  Let us know how it works!

Terrain is really more of an idea than anything else.  A box to block line of sight, really.  I used to want giant expansive boards but lack the space in my basement to let it happen.  15mm seems more abstract anyways.

    I always waffle.

I kinda like the idea of mixed scales and think the small buildings work fine if you do not need to use the 3rd dimension other than the roof.

I’ve used 15mm figures with 2mm buildings before where a ‘square’ of buildings represents a whole town and a small line of plaster cast stones made hills.

Ground scale / building scale / figure scale has always been a sore point for gamers I’ve known – everything from WW2 in 6mm through to asteroids in space has had its detractors and issues 🙂

Your implemntaion really sells the idea of using 3″ squares. I’m serirously thinking of using this for 6mm Necromunda.

    Tired is enough.

It’s the wargames equivalent of a movie set, some suspension of disbelief is required …. but not much. I think it works really well.

“…OK, one last time. These are small… but the ones out there are far away. Small… far away… ah forget it!” 🙂

It’s kind of fun to just push the models around on the coffee table I guess.  Here are a few more shots:

WOW!!!  I love this table.  It looks amazing, and captures the vibe perfectly.

Are you going to make your neon signage in Japanese (the way we saw the future back in 1982) or in Chinese?  🙂

I bought this plasticville building a while ago but it was too modern.  I thought I would cyber it.

Fantastic as always – I was about to ask how you attached the downward pointing LED light to the side view when I realised it was a paint effect !

    Holy cr*p that’s good !

A bit of pink light spillage from the neon sign out front too !

That is some righteous creativity for a 15mm sized model…….

Have you expanded on this table setup?  Have you had any games since you first posted this?  Inquiring minds want to know.  🙂

Inspired by Cy_borg rpg and Killsampleprocess I made some more terrain.  I like the pink and yellow color splashes inside the book.

I took some of the same walls and styrene and made some terrain that might suit and office, or lab, or maybe some living modules.
