I’ve been right off painting of late but the deadline of a gaming weekend in Framlingham, Suffolk this Friday finally kicked me into gear. I’ll be taking part in a WSS 20mm game being organised by Iain Burt on the Saturday and although I didn’t need to paint anything it seemed silly to pass on the opportunity of producing my Savage Swans (the core of my ImagiNation forces) in yet another period and scale! So here they are!
The figures are Les Higgins 20mm nicely converted and modified by Mr Burt himself. I found the 20mm a bit hard to paint. Kind of a middle scale in terms of techniques and style for me. There is a plan to paint a few more units. Just because I can… 🙂
I’ve also been working on some artillery for my later C18th 28mm Swans after they got hammered by the massed enemy guns at Ayton! So as Jim Purky generously threw in a 12lb Valliere with my last order this seemed the best to start with! So I present Die Große Eingelegte! The Swan’s first big gun!
Minden gun, Fife and Drum Continental gunners, Irregular limber and RSM ‘guards’.
There are more pictures and details on my blog: here
Really looking forward to this weekends gaming. And feel that the painting mojo has finally returned!

My Blog: Another Slight Diversion
All your figures are beautiful Andy, those 20mm are stunning well done. The 28mm have given me some ideas of what to do with some of my spare artillery bits. Nice to see a mix of figure manufactures in use.
