Participant*Will be based off the “No End in Sight/No Stars in sight” engine.
This means things like reaction fire integrated into the core movement rules, and a focus on suppression over kills from gunfire.*Will have a fair number of tweaks and changes to those rules, to fit the style better.
*Stand alone game, it’s not a supplement or expansion.
*Campaign rules with quite a few random tables for loot and whatnot. Your warband will gain experience, new members and die horribly.
*Warband size. 15 guys/girls/mutants per side.
*Will have some monsters and zombie-types but it’ll be geared towards a slightly more “realistic” feel. More “Metro 2033 than Fallout”, if you will.
*There’ll be some optional “character traits” tables, if you want to flesh out your warband leader more.

ParticipantYeah. You’ll want enough guys to at least form two small groups on the table, but I’ll add in some options to have more skilled starting groups, versus a larger, less-skilled unit of gangers, raiders or whatever.
The fiction is kinda up tothe player. You might figure you are the militia defending a settlement or crusaders looking to cleanse the wasteland of sinners, whatever works.

ParticipantThe way the activations work, when it’s your turn to go, you get to activate from 1 to 6 guys, regardless of the size of your force.
So a larger force can cover more ground with reaction fire and has more reserves, but they don’t necesarily fight more effectively than a smaller one.
Of course, the outnumbered guys will have to take more care and will be very vulnerable to morale if they take losses ๐

ParticipantIvan,
So, is this the NEIS activation system, but with individual activations? I’m looking at playing some real small battles, 4-8 vs 4-8 troops; I’me looking at 5MIN, but would like a little more “crunch.”

ParticipantIt’ll be geared to around 2 squads or so.
An off-shoot of NEIS.Essentially, instead of the stress system ,you get 5 activation rolls (alternating between the sides) each turn.
Each activation roll is used on one group, but the groups can be formed pretty fluidly. You can always rally pinned figures though, even when they are isolated (but for a more military feel, you can limit that to designated leaders).
There’s some other small changes: a more pronounced assault sequence and fire power has been increased a little bit, to account for the fighting being more close quarters.

ParticipantOoh, sounds like fun. I also prefer my PA more realistic and gritty. Where have u been Ivan? Haven’t seen you around here in a while?
Those are brave men knocking at our door. Let's go kill them!
