    Dear All,

On Saturday we played a Stamford Bridge scenario using Hail Caesar rules….The chronicle can be found here: http://sparkerswargames.blogspot.com.au/2014/10/stamford-bridge-1066.html

Terrific AAR and pics, Sparker! It sounds like the battle was fought in the classic HC spirit (with a nod to Hagar and Snoopy), and that a ‘ripping’ time was had by all.

    Cheers,
    Scott

Thanks for sharing Sparker an excellent AAR and lovely photo’s.   Having played “Hail Caesar” the other week with Andy I can feel myself thinking of an other gaming period (tempted to do ancient in 20mm plastic).

Those are lovely figures you’ve got there.

Thanks very much Gents! Unfortunately very few of these beaut figures were mine! (Just the dodgy couple of suspiciously Gaullish looking warband coves helping the Saxons out!

That is how an AAR should be done! Excellent!

About your Viking nomenclature dilemma……I find ‘Northmen’ is suitably vague and has period flavour.
