I built a couple of shield generators for my 15mm Star Wars project, they were made out of paper plates and bowls and cocktail pourers. Pretty simple to make and there’s a good few pictures on my blog:

Very nice and looks straightforward to make. I think 15mm is definitely the right size for Star Wars, so I am following your work with interest. Thanks for sharing.
Those are brave men knocking at our door. Let's go kill them!
Thanks Paul. Yep, I could make these easily enough, so anyone can! I like the size of 15mm and I think it works great in skirmish gaming, which SWMB basically is. The difficult part is tracking down the correct figures, mind you, that is also the fun part!

Those look great! It makes a game so much more enjoyable when the terrain looks good.
Where there is fire, we will carry gasoline
Thanks Altus, me and my wargming buddies are all of the same opinion. I don’t understand folks who go to great lengths to paint great figures but skimp on the terrain.

Great stuff. I also might be stealing your idea. Thanks for sharing.
The best player, isn't always the winning player.
Thanks Sean, steal away, after all, I stole it in the first place!
