I bought an MDF Star Wars style building recently at the ROBIN Wargaming convention and finished it off the other day. There’s more photos and information on my blog (click the link):

I have to say: this is a laser cut building done right! The multi-layered design approach really gives it some life, as do all of the add-ons like the fins and other greeblies. KoD are on top of it, and I am impressed! (really the only thing that I don’t like about laser cut stuff is that curves are so difficult to do)
In addition to their good design, you’ve done an excellent job with the painting and weathering, and the little additions and details you’ve made really put it a notch up. Good show, sir! It really works well.

I agree, KoD are producing some excellent work in their MDF range, as are Sarrissa Precision, who are definitively leading the market at the moment. I liked this piece because of the obvious thought that had gone into it and assembling it was really enjoyable as well!
Thank you, much appreciated!

It’s cheering to see laser-cut scenery designed with such finesse. Good painting, too.13/03/2019 at 19:01 #110787
Thanks Rhoderic! I think we are really getting good MDF these days! And that’s a good thing!

I also like the weathered painting on this.

Is it me or, do those crates look like the box from Hellraiser?
I knew I’d seen them before somewhere… Here’s hoping a 32mm Pinhead doesn’t appear out of them…
