I have some 10mm BEF to base up and was wondering what to use for grass.
I have some old GW static grass but it’s a bit too long and not great.
What would you suggest as an alternative?
Could I use tufts instead and if so what size / make would be good?
Its for a summer / spring NW Europe look.
Thanks
Jim
This is what I use on the majority of my 10mm :

Thanks Mike,
That’s exactly the look I’m after. Lovely units btw!
I also use Noch grass. Looks fine with 15s, not too obtrusive, so should be OK for 10s

What length, the size most people sell seems to be 2mm.
I find the 1mm better for 10mm.
I use the Baccus basing system packs. They are intended for Baccus’ 6mm troops, but I find that they work perfectly with 20mm, so should be just as good with 10mm.

Thanks. The Noch grass and Baccus option sound like solid leads. I’ll check them out too.
When I tried 10mm a few years ago Leon @ Pendraken/Minibits sent me some samples from the range they stock and they were spot on. Can’t remember exactly which ones but think they were 1.5/2mm long. Certainly worth a look imho.
