So I have finally started planning my Stonehaven project.
It has been so long in the coming as I have been fearing sticking the individual models down, as that takes away any flexibility in terms of layout.
However, it occurred to me that I will probably never play more than a few games anyway so sticking them down will not really mean much in terms of games lost.
Plus by sticking each building to a steel base, it means I can add a LOT more tiny detail and not worry about it being lost.
I can add rubbish, debris, paths, streetlights, washing, seats, etc etc and they will be nice and safe as they will be stuck to the steel bases.
This is the current the layout but I may move the market in the centre and replace it with something else.
It kind of makes sense but until it is made and painted I am not sure if it will be a nice enough focal point.
I am tempted to make a bespoke super building to go in the centre…
Though using tiles means I can change it anyway!
Huzzah!
A great start, I’m looking forward to seeing all the little details you come up with!
